Rural crime, including property thefts, trespassing, vandalism is running rampant in Western Canada and the local RCMP or Police are apparently unable to do anything about it. Bad guys are professional thieves, drunken vandals or druggies looking to steal property to fuel their habits. Consequently, my phone has been ringing off the hook for the past several months with calls from farmers, acreage owners and business owners who are looking for security dogs to patrol and protect their property.
